Disneyland Removes Major Park Hopping Restriction Ahead Of Busy Summer
Disneyland Resort is giving visitors far more flexibility this summer with a significant update that many longtime guests have been hoping for. Beginning June 9, the resort will officially eliminate its long-standing 11 a.m. restriction for guests using Park Hopper tickets and Magic Key passes, allowing them to move between parks at any time during the day.
The Disneyland park hopping policy change marks one of the biggest operational updates since the resort’s pandemic-era reopening in 2021. For the past several years, guests had to wait until late morning before moving between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, even if they arrived early in the day.

According to Fox 11, under the updated rules, guests will still need to make park reservations in advance and select which park they plan to start their day in. However, guests will no longer need to physically check into their starting park before visiting the other location, creating a smoother and more flexible experience for travelers.
The Disneyland park hopping policy change arrives during what is expected to be one of the resort’s busiest summer seasons in recent years. Disneyland is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary with special entertainment offerings, limited-time attractions, and themed experiences drawing large crowds from around the world.

The resort has also recently introduced several major additions designed to boost attendance even further. A new Bluey stage show is already drawing families, while Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will launch an upgraded version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22.
Despite the added freedom, the Disneyland park-hopping policy change still comes with one important limitation. Park hopping will continue to depend on crowd capacity levels throughout the day. If either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure reaches maximum capacity during busy summer periods, guests attempting to hop between parks may temporarily be denied entry until space becomes available again.
