WATCH: Kathy Hochul Hilariously FLOPS In Attempt To Troll President Trump

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s attempt to dunk on President Trump by questioning his New York Knicks knowledge epically backfired. “I ask him to name the starting lineup from [the] 1993 championship team and see how he does,” Hochul said in response to a reporter saying Trump is a lifelong Knicks fan. Outkick founder Clay Travis explained how that would be impossible to answer. “Asked about President Trump saying he’s a lifelong Knicks fan, NY governor Kathy Hochul says she’d like to hear Trump name the 1993 Knicks title team. Impossible to do. Jordan’s Bulls won the title in 1993 beating the Knicks in the eastern finals,” Travis wrote. Fox News shared further: It’s possible that she was talking about the 1994 NBA Finals — which wrapped up the ’93-’94 season — which the Knicks lost to the Houston Rockets. No matter how you slice it, this is embarrassing. She was either way wrong or trying to pump up a conference championship. I mean, even if you ignore the factual disaster that unfolded, is this where politics is at? Doing a sports version of, “Oh, you’re wearing a Metallica shirt? Name five albums, and one of them can’t be the Black Album, which is actually called Metallica; people forget that.” And not only doing that, but muffing it! I really don’t understand why politicians do this. You’re not going to win any votes by professing to be a bigger Knicks fan than the president, but you might lose them if people think you’re a phony. So, how about just steer clear? Trump said earlier this week that he plans on attending one of the NBA Finals games at Madison Square Garden in New York City. “I Think I’ll Be Going To One Of The Games” – President Trump May Become First Sitting President To Attend NBA Finals “I think I’ll be going to one of the games,” Trump said. “I was invited by numerous people, and Jim [Dolan], and I think I’ll be going,” he continued. Earlier Wednesday, the elder Trump said he is planning on attending a finals game that the Knicks host next month. As for his son’s wedding to Bettina Anderson over the weekend, the president did not attend — he cited government business, including Iran, last week in explaining why he could not go. New York is in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, after wrapping up a sweep on Monday of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
