Hillary Clinton decided to weigh in on the work happening at the White House, and the result was not the dunk she thought it was. On May 29, 2026, the former secretary of state posted on X that President Trump had left part of the people’s house as “rubble,” with another part turned into “a cage match.” She was referring to the ongoing construction at the White House and the temporary UFC cage being set up for the June 14 America 250 event on the grounds. The “cage match” is a temporary setup for a single celebration tied to the 250th anniversary of American independence. That is improvement and a party, not destruction. Clinton chose to read it as decline because that is the only frame she has left. On Friday, she posted this on X. She apparently doesn’t understand the concept of improvements to the White House. How dare he fix things or throw an event celebrating American excellence? For shame! But imagine Hillary, of all people, commenting on the treatment of the White House. Does she think that we forgot what Bill Clinton did in the White House with an intern? Or how about the treatment of the Lincoln Bedroom? Oh, and we certainly can’t forget what the Clinton team infamously did when they left the White House. Then there was the furniture that the Clintons walked off with. They later had to return items that were gifts to the White House, and not to them. Typical of Hillary, she cut off replies. But that didn’t prevent people from quote-tweeting and slamming her with a few facts. You know her tweet opened the door to a wide range of responses blasting her and her husband, Bill. They blasted her good. Clinton turned off replies on her post. That did not stop people from quote-tweeting her with the history she would rather forget. The June 14 event is one piece of a much larger patriotic program.
