DC-Based Exorcist FIRED for Publicly Suggesting Aliens / UFO’s Could be the ‘Work of Demons’

Stephen Rossetti just got fired as an exorcist… because he publicly suggested that aliens and UFO’s are very likely demonic in nature. This is a strange, weird world we are living in, without a doubt! I have made the following statement several times in the past at the beginning of several different stories, and I’ll make it again here with a bit more nuance (…and if you’ll stick with me, I’ll make my point and get to the story at hand): In the interest of full disclosure, I am not Catholic.  For clarity and to ensure I either confuse or ruffle EVERYONE’s feathers — I’m a crossbreed between non-denominational Protestant Evangelical Bible-nerd meets reformed Baptist… of the pre-trib / pre-wrath dispensationalist variety that loves listening to Voddie Bachaum, Chuck Missler, Michael Heiser (man – I miss those guys!) and I hold to a literal 6-day creation, somewhere around 6-10k years ago. I also think Bigfoot is a trans-dimensional Nephilim hybrid of some sort and is on the uptick along with several other weird critters, dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible dozens of times, and getting married and having as many kids as God will bless you with is a GOOD THING. Now, all that to say… I’m not Catholic — but I dig the whole exorcism thing, which is why I wanted to bring you this story. Casting out demons?  I’m into that.  Because the way I read it, the BIBLE is into that, which means God is into that… and I believe He wants us to be focused on that sort of thing waaaaaay more than we usually are. No, I’m not Catholic like Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, and I honestly disagree with a lot of what you Catholics believe and teach.  (I disagree with a lot of people about a lot of things.) But when Stephen Rossetti summons whatever wisdom and insight he has gained from 15+ years as the chief exorcist for the Washington DC area and comes out with a warning that ALIENS and UFO’s are very often and very likely DEMONS doing their father’s work of deception… I agreed with that long before I ever heard the word ‘disclosure’ publicly mentioned in good Christian company. And when I read that the man was FIRED for suggesting that might be true? Wow.  Is someone trying to maintain the collective official narrative here, or what? Firstly, here’s one of the key videos that led to his removal as the DC-area exorcist: Exorcist Stephen Rossetti: “Most UFO sightings are likely Demons” A Catholic Priest for the Archdiocese of Washington, he explains that demons hide to manipulate us more effectively. “Demons like to hide. They don’t want us to know they’re out… they can kind of get into… pic.twitter.com/qrbt7I3WzI — Interstellar (@InterstellarUAP) May 31, 2026 Rossetti was dropped from his long-established role as exorcist for the DC-area by the very well known and polarizing Cardinal Robert McElroy. McElroy is the Archbishop of Washington DC and a fairly well-known critic of President Trump’s, just to paint a little of the political framework for the situation and the personalities involved. McElroy is apparently no big fan of Rossetti’s worldview on aliens and demons either, as covered by Newsweek and published on YahooNews: A Catholic priest has been removed from his role as an exorcist after making remarks linking UFOs to demons. Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, a well-known exorcist in Washington, D.C., was relieved of his duties by Cardinal Robert McElroy, the Archbishop of Washington, D.C., after saying in a May 29 video that “many, if not most,” UFO sightings could be explained as demonic activity. Rossetti, who has over 148,000 followers on Instagram, is a prominent psychologist as well as an exorcist. His Saint Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal, a nonprofit that is based in Washington, D.C, has specialized in offering spiritual healing for priests troubled by various difficulties. In a May 29 video, that was posted on Facebook, Rossetti talked about UFO sightings as well as the potential existence of alien life. Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, 74, had served as chief exorcist in the Archdiocese of Washington for over 15 years. In 2023, in an interview with The Associated Press as the movie starring Russell Crowe, The Pope’s Exorcist, was coming out, Rossetti said “demonic influences” had increased amid declining faith, a surge in sinning and the practice of occult. “Demons do manifest in a session and the exorcist faces an incredibly evil visage that no human can mimic,” he said. “Things do fly across the room. Demons engage in antics like immature 12-year-olds trying to scare you.” For those who prefer something more on the visual side, here’s a video report from The Hill covering the situation. This short report also features an excerpt of Rossetti describing the nuances and issues of exorcism in today’s world. It’s worth a listen to get a good feel for who Rossetti is, and how he approaches things: As a self-professed Bible nerd with admitted anti-Catholic theological leanings… What he said in that clip about the general deceptive tactics of demons checks the truth box for me! Was he really fired for simply suggesting that specific take on demons and their plausible interconnectedness with the modern alien/UFO phenomena? Just reading his response posted to his Facebook account a short time ago REALLY begs answers from Cardinal McElroy on what he found so severe that he would completely cut all links with Rossetti and his ministry. Here’s Rossetti’s heartfelt and very reasonable public response to being unceremoniously canned: Here’s the full text of his response in case that’s not all visible: Dear Friends, As many of you know, on June 3, 2026, the Archdiocese of Washington made the decision to remove Msgr. Stephen Rossetti as Chief Exorcist for the Archdiocese and to end its affiliation with the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal. We are grateful to the Archdiocese for its many years of support. Our heart-felt prayers for its important ministry. Moreover, we remain totally committed to being obedient to the Church’s leadership and teaching, which we trust is guided by the Holy Spirit. Stay in the Boat! That is, stay in the Barque of St. Peter, which is the Catholic Church. It will lead us safely home to the Lord. Thank you to all who have reached out with your prayers and encouragement as we discern the next steps for the Center. Hearing the stories of those who have been helped through this ministry is a profound reminder of God’s endless mercy and love. You encourage us to continue this ministry, which is so needed today. Because many questions are circulating online, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide some clarity regarding the future of the St. Michael Center. Msgr. Stephen Rossetti is no longer the Exorcist for the Archdiocese of Washington. However, he remains a priest in good standing with his home Diocese of Syracuse. The St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and will continue its mission of providing resources for spiritual healing. Msgr. Stephen Rossetti will remain the President of the organization. We are currently discerning the future direction of the St. Michael Center. While our ministry will no longer be based in Washington, D.C., we are prayerfully exploring potential future homes for this important work. We humbly ask for your prayers as we seek God’s guidance for the next chapter of the Center. During this time of transition, our website, mobile app, social media channels, and online webinars will remain available. Our monthly online deliverance sessions are currently on hold, though recordings of previous sessions can still be accessed through our YouTube channel. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and pray for this ministry. We entrust all things to the protection of St. Michael the Archangel and the loving care of Our Blessed Mother. Trust in Jesus, St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal The crazy thing is that Cardinal McElroy actually said plainly that Rossetti’s public linking of demons and UFO’s is a threat to the Catholic Church! Really??? Here’s more on that according to a related Associated Press report: The archbishop said Rossetti’s statements “linking UFOs to demonic presence and the Center’s recent use of social media gravely undermine the Church’s very precise teaching on the devil, demons and exorcism.” “There’s a danger here,” Rossetti said in a May 29 video posted on his Facebook page addressing UFO sightings and the existence of aliens. “As an exorcist I wanted to raise that danger. And that is that demons like to hide. … They don’t want us to know what they’re doing because they’re more effective when we don’t realize it.” “They can kind of get into your head, you know, and manipulate things in the world to influence us to do evil.” “It’s my personal belief that probably many if not most of these UFO sightings are in fact demons,” Rossetti added. In a statement posted on the St. Michael Center website, Rossetti said he was saddened by the action of the archdiocese. “I ask forgiveness for any ways that I have not been faithful to the teachings of the Church’s Magisterium, particularly in the cited video on ‘aliens and the demonic,’” he said. “I believe it is of the utmost importance to be obedient to the Church and I will continue to endeavor to subject all that I do and the Center to be thus obedient.” (Emphasis added.) The part of me that now gravitates heavily towards a default acceptance of anything conspiratorial REALLY has questions for the Archbishop on this one. To begin with… I don’t live in DC.  And as we’ve already covered — I’m not Catholic. So he’s probably not going to get back to me with custom answers to my questions. But until I hear otherwise, I’m not ashamed to say that I — and many others like me, I am sure — are now working under the assumption that the demonic deception being orchestrated upon the world has a benefactor in the person of the Archbishop of Washington DC. Please tell me.  Catholic and non-Catholic alike. Considering the information before us, and the way this has played out — what ELSE are we to believe? What are your thoughts?
