That is the rest of President Trump’s term. Democrats spent months trying to choke off or condition the money. President Trump now has the law-enforcement funding to keep the pressure on. Fox News reported the package breaks down to $38 billion for ICE, $26 billion for Border Patrol, and a $5 billion Homeland Security funding pool. Border Czar Tom Homan made clear what that buys. More targeting, more arrests, and the resources to keep operations running without interruption. The White House laid out the stakes this way: After four years of Democrats’ dangerous open-border policies that fueled chaos and lawlessness across the country, President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history, with illegal crossings dropping to record lows—just as he promised. In spite of President Trump’s successes that have made our communities safer and crime drop to generational lows, congressional Democrats have spent months blocking critical funding for the brave men and women charged with protecting our homeland. The Secure America Act puts an end to Democrats’ political games by fully funding ICE and Border Patrol through President Trump’s term and providing the resources needed to keep our border secure, combat human trafficking, stop the flow of deadly drugs, dismantle criminal cartels, and enforce America’s immigration laws. Last week, every single Senate Democrat voted against the Secure America Act. This week, House Democrats will yet again show the nation that they are the party of open borders, protecting criminal illegal aliens, and defunding the police. Border Czar Tom Homan: “When this reconciliation passes, that’s $70B that will fund us until the end of the Trump Administration. You’re going to see targeting increase, you’re going to see arrests increase, we’re also going to be able to pay our vendors… our medical contractors. So that means that we’re going to do a lot more. We’re already making historic arrests under President Trump, as he promised the American people. But with additional funding, we’re going to keep our foot on the gas and keep moving forward.” The votes tell the rest of the story. Center for Immigration Studies reported that the Senate passed the bill 52-47 on June 5, with Sen. Lisa Murkowski voting with Democrats against it. Fox News reported that the House passed it 214-212, with every Republican present voting yes. Rep. Kevin Kiley, an independent who caucuses with Republicans, joined Democrats against the package. This was a party-line border-security win, and Republicans held the line to deliver it. Speaker Mike Johnson summed up why the multi-year structure matters. He told Fox News that funding the agencies for three years takes away Democrats’ ability to cut or hold the money hostage for the rest of the Trump administration. A one-year deal could have been squeezed every appropriations season. This law changes that leverage. The Center for Immigration Studies broke down more of the funding detail. That includes $9.55 billion for CBP hiring, training, and equipping, $13.02 billion for CBP immigration enforcement support, and $7.45 billion for ICE Homeland Security Investigations. It also includes $3.45 billion for border security technology and training, plus $31.075 billion for ICE personnel across directorates.
