Simply flawless. Ella Langley is at the top of her game right now, and as her breakout year continues, it’s been really fun to watch her evolve and grow into the superstar she’s always been. She recently had a huge night at the ACM Awards, and her massive hit single “Choosin’ Texas” is still doing big things… and while Ella certainly knows how to write her own hits, she posts covers on her social media accounts quite frequently, recently going viral with a great one of “Wasted Days & Wasted Nights,” and this week, she shared another stellar one of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One.” Shania wrote it with her then-husband and producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, and it was inspired by the criticism of their relationship. It was included on her 1997 third studio album Come On Over, and the piano-driven country ballad became a huge crossover hit, peaking at #2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, and of course, becoming a hit at country radio too. Ella’s cover is identical to the original, piano and all, and she shared the video along with the caption: “I’ll never get over this song Shania.” Shania responded saying she was “flattered,” and loved getting to meet Ella at the recent ACM Award show, where Shania hosted and Ella had a massive night, sweeping the categories she was nominated in: “So flattered.
