‘The Bear’ Pays Tribute to Rob Reiner in Series Finale
Rob Reiner was a Hollywood staple for nearly 60 years. His breakout role came in 1971, when he played Michael Stivic, affectionately known as Meathead by his father-in-law, Archie Bunker, on All in the Family. He was an Emmy Award-winning actor and Oscar-nominated director. His shocking death broke the hearts of so many people, including his cast mates on the hit FX series, The Bear. In one of his final Hollywood projects, he guest-starred as Albert Schnurr during the fourth season of the show. Rob Reiner’s character made a special appearance in The Bear’s series finale, touching many fans.

Rob Reiner Was Part of ‘The Bear’ Series Finale in a Clever Way
Restaurant consultant Albert was line cook Ebra’s mentor, and during The Bear series finale, Ebra made a call to Rob Reiner’s character.
“Albert, we are in business. It’s perfect. I will have all the documents; email it to you immediately. Anything else I can do?” Ebra asks and then listens to Albert’s unheard response. Ebra answers, “As you wish.”
The line played clever homage to Rob Reiner. It’s the most famous line from the 1987 movie, The Princess Bride, which Rob directed. Fans positively loved the way producers worked Rob Reiner’s legacy into The Bear series finale so effortlessly and sweetly.
“The best tributes aren’t always loud. A single line ‘As you wish’ said everything. A beautiful way for The Bear to honor Rob Reiner’s legacy,” a fan shared on X.
“The last two episodes are the bear at it’s finest. a wonderful sendoff for these characters and
this series. i am so sad,” another fan wrote.
The series finale had everything this fan wanted. “The Bear S5 series finale. No pun intended,
it was a chef’s kiss! As usual, the writing and cast is just outstanding. It’s funny, at times
hilarious, chaotic, stressful, nerve-wracking, while also being heart-warming.
I’m going to miss this show. Bravo, and thank you,” they wrote.
