“Cool Stuff, Slick Stuff, Neat Stuff”: Garth Brooks Promises Cutting-Edge Technology For Upcoming Arena Tour

Fans of Garth Brooks should be ready to experience some really cool, neat, and slick (his words) technology when the country music star heads out on his Blame It All On My Roots Tour next month. After teasing a new album and new music earlier this year, the “Friends In Low Places” singer finally made the announcement officially earlier this month. Through a release on his website, and in a couple of different social media posts, the country superstar told everyone that the “wait is over,” and happily shared that his Blame It All On My Roots Tour will get kicked off in August: “Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box. The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.” The wait is over… Garth Brooks is kicking off the Blame It All On My Roots Tour! The first stop is Indianapolis, Indiana! Tickets go on sale Friday, July 17, at 10:00 AM EDT at https://t.co/QFQKNte63Q -Team Garth pic.twitter.com/x6TmASteEU — Garth Brooks (@garthbrooks) July 7, 2026 “This is personal” kind of sounds like a threat, but the good news is that all he’s threatening people with is a good time. And he’s promising that his arena tour will feature some of the most cutting edge entertainment technology that’s out there. Brooks believes that country music should be one of the leading forces for touring tech, and said through garthbrooks.com that country fans have come to expect nothing but the best: “Country music is second to no other genre of music. We have always claimed country music should be at the forefront of touring tech, as well. I will put the country music audience up against any other genre’s following. They are the most loyal listeners on the planet. So, when it comes to bringing those believers together for a concert, those people deserve the latest and greatest in entertainment technology.” The latest and greatest in entertainment technology will also feature a revived and revamped “Drum Pod,” which Brooks first made famous during his world tour in the late 1990s. The country singer says there are doing everything they can to make the tour feel retro, while also bringing in everything that the modern day has to offer: “If you’re going to do a retro tour, we all understand the goal is to make what was called ‘cool stuff’ then even more cool now. But what we sometimes forget is there are things now we didn’t have back then. One of those things just happens to be possibly the most important part to any concertgoer and has been for a while — video.” Brooks will introduce a massive, 360-degree video system that he’s coined “The Halo.” It’ll feature both inward and outward-facing screens, and it was specially built so that every single seat feels “like the best seat in the arena.” The country legend is excited about all of the technology, but he was quick to point out that the most important thing when it comes to his upcoming arena tour is the music: “Let’s never forget, the music is the most important thing, and the experience the people have must be the best the artist can bring. With that said, entertainment technology, and the crew behind that technology, plays a big role in that. I hope you see things on this tour you haven’t seen yet, and most of all, I hope you dig the **** out of them.” You heard the man… grab your figurative shovels and get ready to start digging everything about the Blame It All On My Roots Tour. We’re still waiting to hear more from Garth on additional tour dates. As of right now, the only announced dates are the first two nights – August 21 and 22 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tickets for those back-to-back shows go on sale Friday, July 17 (and every ticket will be priced the same). The post “Cool Stuff, Slick Stuff, Neat Stuff”: Garth Brooks Promises Cutting-Edge Technology For Upcoming Arena Tour first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
