News Shifter Adam Scott and Two Severance Colleagues Are Teaming Up to Develop a New Sci-Fi Series Face … off? Now, three of said creative folks—star Adam Scott, writer Ezra Claytan Daniels, and producer Eli Jorné—have teamed up to develop a series based on Koren Shadmi’s graphic novel Shifter. The adaptation is being developed for Hulu. Shifter does not appear to be available in English publication just yet. Last year, author and artist Shadmi posted about its French publication, saying that he hopes the book will also come out in the US. Presumably the adaptation news might hurry that process along. According to Deadline, which broke the news about the adaptation, Shifter “is set in the near-future, where a banned cosmetic procedure lets people change their faces on the fly, creating a new underground industry of Shifters, who can become anyone you want, for any purpose you can imagine, for a fee. Rose is making a name for herself as one of the best, but the more she gives to her gigs, the more she risks losing herself.” Shifter will be written by Daniels and Jorné, and produced by the two writers along with Adam Scott, Naomi Scott, and Kevin Cotter (all of Great Scott Productions).
