SD: Make dangerous immigrants stateless

DOMESTIC. Immigrants who pose "a danger to society" should, according to SD, be able to be stripped of their Swedish citizenship even if this means that they become stateless.

The proposal for a change to SD's principle program in this direction originated in the party board and is expected to be approved at the national meeting this coming weekend, according to Gothenburg Post.

- If, for example, you go to a country and assist a terrorist organization or are a gang criminal and carry out some form of system-threatening activity. Then it is not reasonable that you should be able to keep your citizenship, says SD's party secretary Mattias Bäckström Johansson to Göteborgs-Posten.

He emphasizes, however, that this is not covered by the Tidö agreement, but that the party will push the issue if they themselves end up in government next term.
