Everything, not just gas, is going to become less affordable, if the radical Democrats elected to Congress on Tuesday put their policies into effect, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) warned Thursday, commenting on the results of this week’s midterm elections.People who believed Democrats’ promise to make things more affordable are in for a big, unwelcome surprise, Sen. Cruz told Host Sean Hannity in a Fox News Channel interview:“As tragic as the election results were and, unfortunately, everyone who was pissed off at high prices: things are about to get much worse, because of the policies of the radicals they elected.“They don’t want gas prices at $4, $5, $6 – they want them at $10, $12, $15. They want to ban the gasoline engine – every cost you pay, if the Democrats have their way, they’re going to drive costs up.”Indeed, Democrats have long sought to destroy the fossil fuel and traditional energy industries, under the pretense of saving the planet from imminent environmental doom. And, once Democrats take control of both chambers of Congress, they’re going to go all-out to achieve their radical goals, Cruz said.“That’s going to do a lot of damage to Americans and Texans. And I grieve for that,” Sen. Cruz said.On the bright side, radical Democrats’ zeal is going to cause them to overreach and “out of that damage, we are going to turn this country around” by standing up for tried and true American values, Cruz promised:“We’re going to do it by actually standing up for free market principles, standing up for jobs, standing up for people’s families, standing up for common sense against the Marxists and Islamists that are now driving the agenda.”
