Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has earned his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. “It’s [jiu-jitsu] the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life; it’s the hardest‚” noted Keenan. “I’m getting snowflakey weepy. It’s not something that you are handed. You have to do the work to get it.” Reports state that Keenan has been training in jiu-jitsu since the ’90s and in ’21 he was awarded a brown belt‚ one promotion away from a black belt.
