Kamala Harris: “I Am Ready To Serve”
Kamala Harris told The Wall Street Journal she is “ready to serve” as president as Joe Biden faces increased scrutiny over his age and mental capacity.
The Wall Street Journal’s Tarini Parti questioned if Biden’s advanced age and poor memory meant Harris should be prepared to take the reins.
“Do voters’ concerns about President Biden’s age mean she must convince them she is ready to serve?” Parti wrote.
“I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that‚” Harris reportedly said.

Harris’s comments follow Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report that Joe Biden is an ‘elderly man with a poor memory.’
Special Counsel Cites ‘Elderly Age’ And ‘Poor Memory’ As Reasons NOT To Charge Joe Biden Over Classified Documents
Fox News reports:
Hur's report recommended no charges against Biden over his actions pertaining to the mishandling of classified documents‚ partly because he would have a defense at trial as a "sympathetic‚ well-meaning‚ elderly man with a poor memory."
Republicans piled on Biden following the Hur report's release last week‚ but Democrats have also begun voicing — or at least admitting — greater concern surrounding Biden's age and whether that could hurt his chances at winning re-election this year.
Former President Bill Clinton's lead strategist‚ James Carville‚ argued Saturday that the White House has little confidence in Biden after he turned down a Super Bowl Sunday interview.
"It’s the biggest television audience‚ not even close‚ and you get a chance to do a 20-25-minute interview on that day‚" Carville said. "And you don’t do it? That’s a kind of sign that the staff‚ or yourself‚ doesn’t have much confidence in you. There’s no other way to read this."
Another former Clinton strategist‚ Paul Begala‚ said Hur’s indictment of Biden’s memory and Biden's subsequent response was "terrible for Democrats."
Democrats will face increased pressure over Joe Biden's elderly age and poor memory.
A new ABC News/Ipsos poll found that approximately 86% of Americans think Joe Biden is too old to serve another term.

Per ABC News:
An overwhelming majority of Americans think President Joe Biden is too old to serve another term‚ according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll.
According to the poll‚ conducted using Ipsos' Knowledge Panel‚ 86% of Americans think Biden‚ 81‚ is too old to serve another term as president. That figure includes 59% of Americans who think both he and former President Donald Trump‚ the Republican front-runner‚ are too old and 27% who think only Biden is too old.
Sixty-two percent of Americans think Trump‚ who is 77‚ is too old to serve as president. There is a large difference in how partisans view their respective nominees -- 73% of Democrats think Biden is too old to serve but only 35% of Republicans think Trump is too old to serve. Ninety-one percent of independents think Biden is too old to serve‚ and 71% say the same about Trump.
Concerns about both candidates' ages have increased since September when an ABC News/Washington Post poll found that 74% of Americans thought Biden -- the oldest commander in chief in U.S. history -- was too old to serve another term as president‚ and 49% said the same about Trump.
