Gardner‚ 57‚ told the outlet he visited an FBI office after she shut down his business.
“The FBI came out and went to talk to me and I gave them all the paperwork that I had‚” Gardner told the outlet.

FBI is reportedly investigating “super mayor” Tiffany Henyard for abusing her position of power.
About time.
Henyard has gone viral for comparing herself to Jesus‚ shutting down businesses who don’t donate to her‚ using money for music videos‚ hiring a child r*pist as code enforcement officer‚ proposing a law to cut the salary of any mayor besides herself to $25k‚ spending taxpayer dollars on Las Vegas trips and much more.
Business owner Lawrence Gardner‚ who continuously donated to Henyard‚ says she shut his business down after the donations stopped.
“I made the payment. Then every year‚ she started coming and required the same thing‚ and we had a problem about that.”
After he refused to give more money‚ officials claimed he was illegally selling alcohol and shut him down.
Henyard has sent her small village of Dolton‚ Illinois into $5 million in debt.
“The Chicago suburb of Dolton‚ Illinois is entirely broke. So much so that it’s in danger of having its police cruisers repossessed. And yet its mayor‚ Tiffany Henyard‚ plunders city coffers to put up billboards that are nothing more than ads promoting herself. She’s spent huge sums using local police as backup dancers in music videos (seriously) and private security‚” Charlie Kirk wrote.
“Supposedly‚ the town’s own police chief admits that Henyard orders his officers to write tickets targeting her critics. She has allegedly even shut down local businesses that refuse to donate to her political war chest. Henyard has been at this for three years. It would be trivially easy for Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx to hit her with a half-dozen felonies and help Dolton’s 20‚000 citizens in the process. But it’s not happening‚” he added.

From the New York Post:
The FBI told Gardner they received scores of complaints against Henyard “but they were just starting an investigation‚” he recalled.
“She said we are going to get her‚” he said‚ referring to an FBI agent. “It just takes time. We have to make sure we have all our i’s dotted and t’s crossed.”
The FBI investigation‚ first reported by Fox 32‚ is also using electronic surveillance‚ the station reported.
Sherry Britton‚ a vocal Dolton resident‚ said the FBI paid her a visit last week‚ but she is remaining tight lipped on their advice.
“I want to see her stopped‚” Britton told The Post Wednesday. “This has to come to an end. This has to stop‚ it’s ridiculous.”
A spokesperson for Henyard told The Post they are unaware of any investigation‚ saying: “Mayor Tiffany Henyard and the Village of Dolton have not received any subpoenas and have not been contacted by the FBI or any other law enforcement agency.”
Henyard reportedly attends meetings dressed like a gangster character from a movie‚ but locals told the outlet her actions resemble the part.
She was compared to Nino Brown from the 1991 movie “New Jack City.”

FOX 32 Chicago reports:
FOX 32 has been reporting for nearly two years on allegations of corruption surrounding Henyard in her capacity as mayor and supervisor. Now‚ we’ve learned from multiple sources that federal agents are interviewing witnesses as part of a possible investigation that may — or may not — result in charges.
Lawrence Gardner owns a U-Haul rental and trucking business in south suburban Dolton and says he went to the FBI several months ago‚ frustrated that the Village of Dolton would not renew his business license.
Gardner said the FBI agents took his allegations seriously: “Yes. Very serious. Very.”
Gardner said he’s been harassed and his business raided and shut down by Dolton Police. Gardner believes it’s retaliation after he refused to make a donation to a civic event sponsored by Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard.
“I talked to a couple of agents and I explained to them what’s going on‚” Gardner said. “I gave them all my paperwork to show them what was happening in court and what was happening in Dolton. And they told me they were investigating and would be in touch with me.”
Gardner is one of six people who confirmed to FOX 32 that they’ve been interviewed by the FBI. They range from Dolton business owners to a former village employee and at least one public official.
