‘Environmental And Safety Risks’ Reportedly Declared After Coors Light Semi-Truck Crashes Into Popeyes [WATCH]
Emergency crews responded after a Coors Light semi-truck crashed into a Popeyes restaurant in Brooklyn‚ New York.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. in East Williamsburg Wednesday evening.
Police said in a preliminary report that the semi-truck first crashed into a white Subaru before crashing into Popeyes.
“Currently‚ multiple emergency crews and other agencies are on the scene in Brooklyn‚ New York‚ after a Coors Light semi-truck crashed into the Popeyes restaurant. There are reports of multiple people injured with leaking saddle tanks from the semi-Truck . The exact number of injured individuals is currently unknown at this time as this situation is still developing‚” Rawsalerts wrote.
“Officials say a significant concern has emerged as diesel fuel leaks onto the street and funnels into local storm drains‚ posing environmental and safety risks. Authorities are urging the public to steer clear of the area while cleanup and containment efforts are underway the number of people injured are still unknown at this time‚” Rawsalerts added.

ABC 7 NY reports:
The 60-year-old truck driver was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan remained on the scene and refused medical attention.
A 22-year-old woman‚ inside the Popeyes‚ complained of shock and also refused medical assistance.
No arrests were made.
FDNY said the building was in stable condition.

After the initial crash‚ the 18-wheel tractor trailer collided with the side of the fried-chicken hot spot.
Video footage from the scene showed a large NYPD and New York Fire Department presence at the fast food restaurant.
The NYPD said that the truck driver complained of a head injury and was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
The 21-year-old Subaru driver complained of a hand injury‚ but refused treatment.
