The organization Safety Detectives has analyzed 78 countries to find out which are safest and most dangerous for women.

The statistics are based on how many crimes are committed against women and how women are protected by the country's laws.

South Africa is ranked as the worst country for women - followed by Sweden, El Salvador, Jamaica and Honduras.

The safest country for women is Japan, according to the compilations.

The article in Forbes was published in December, but it is only now that it is noticed in Sweden and is widely circulated among users on social media.
