"A White House adviser was ratioed into oblivion on Tuesday after claiming Republicans were “in lockstep with Putin” by blaming record-high inflation on Joe Biden.
“Putin and @SenRickScott fully in lockstep in blaming Biden for Putin’s Price Hike. So surprising,” Jesse Lee, senior communications advisor for the National Economic Council, wrote on Twitter.
Lee was reacting to a tweet by Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) bringing attention to new CPI numbers showing inflation in the U.S. has soared to 8.5%, a 40-year high.
“Since they won’t acknowledge the facts, I will: As long as Joe Biden is in office, families will continue to suffer, debt will keep climbing and prices will skyrocket even higher,” Scott tweeted.
However, the economic data from the U.S. Department of Labor completely annihilates the Democrat talking point that U.S. inflation is caused by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In fact, high inflation clearly began once Biden was installed into the White House.
