"After having her wrist injured during an earlier robbery, an elderly liquor store owner was sick of shoplifters taking advantage of her. So, the next time an alleged thief tried to steal from her, she sent them an unmistakable message."

Never should've been charged. The really frustrating thing?

I checked on this to see what results there were. Turns out this all happened in 2020, in June. That August the gutsy gal passed away. RIP.

Given the state of things, even in the heart of country music, Nashville (quite a liberal town these days, so I hear) had she not died she probably would've been convicted and the damn perp would've sued her. Hell. He probably will STILL sue her estate and maybe her family.
