"A 9-year-old boy is the sole survivor of a triple homicide in which his parents and 6-year-old sister were fatally shot by a gunman who then killed himself.
Iowa state police on Saturday identified the victims as Tyler and Sarah Schmidt, both 42, and 6-year-old Lula Schmidt, all of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Police did not say how the boy survived or whether he was wounded."
