16-year-old new father broke into and raped an elderly woman

A 16-year-old father of a small child in Dals-Ed was today requested to be detained on suspicion of last week's gross rape of a woman in her 80s.

It was during Thursday morning that a woman in her 80s was attacked in her home in central Dals-Ed in Dalsland. The woman was subjected to, among other things, a serious rape by a man unknown to her.

After the assault, the woman was left lying on the floor with an injured back, where she was later found by her husband who alerted the police.

The police soon became suspicious of a 16-year-old Swedish boy who also lives in Dals-Ed. The suspect was arrested in his absence on Friday morning and arrested later that morning.

On Monday, the 16-year-old was requested to be detained on suspicion of aggravated rape and sexual harassment. The prosecutor believes that there are special reasons to detain the young rapist, with restrictions, even though he is not of legal age.

The detention hearing will be held on Tuesday.

Criminal toddler father
The arrested 16-year-old is previously known to the police and was convicted as recently as last fall for assaulting a 13-year-old boy. The sentence was the first time the 16-year-old was convicted of a crime, as he had reached the age of majority when the assault was committed.

However, according to an investigation, the 16-year-old has already committed several crimes before his 15th birthday. According to the investigation, he has "offensive behaviour" and has previously committed theft, vandalism, set fires, been guilty of illegal driving and has been drunk several times.

The 16-year-old has previously been taken into care under the Act with special provisions on the care of young people (LVU). He is also a new father. In February this year, a 14-year-old girl in Dals-Ed gave birth to a boy who the 16-year-old is the father of.
