Potential Texas GOP Platform Suggests Death Penalty for Abortion Patients
The Republican Party of Texas took a vote on Saturday at the state’s GOP Convention in order to finalize their platform for the coming year. Votes are set to be tallied by Wednesday of next week. The 50-page document outlining platforms and resolutions for the rest of the 2024 year includes a wide swath of issues, many of which push further far-right leaning positions on topics such as gender identity, education, and abortion access than in recent previous years.
