Three 15-year-olds are suspected of being behind the sharp bomb that was placed in Kungsträdgården.

One of the boys is now in custody on probable cause, suspected of preparation for gross destruction of public danger. Two have been released.

- He denies crime, and that's basically the only thing I can say, says one of the teenagers' lawyers, Sofia Sellberg.

It was last Sunday that the police destroyed a bag with a dangerous object inside. The police announced later in the week that the bag contained an explosive charge.

A criminal investigation into attempted public destruction is ongoing and several people were arrested on Friday. All were requested to be detained over the weekend.

- There were different developments in the case that have led to these three people being able to be identified and subsequently arrested, says emergency prosecutor Johan Lengholm.

Teenagers suspected
It concerns three 15-year-old boys who are suspected on probable grounds of breaching the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods and attempting to cause serious public destruction. On Sunday afternoon, one of them was arrested.

During remand hearings in the Stockholm district court on Sunday, all contested the remand requests.

- Purely formally and objectively, according to the prosecutor, the suspicions in each case were probable cause. Otherwise, he would not have gone in with a detention on these grounds. I naturally think that if my client denies the crime, which he does, I don't think it's probable cause, for various reasons, says the 15-year-old's lawyer, Jens Högström.

Bomb in central Stockholm
Last Sunday, when the bomb was discovered, Strömgatan and Strömbron were blocked off, as well as a section of Kungsträdgårdsgatan. At the time, the Stockholm culture festival was taking place at the site.

- It's a security idea we have because there are so many people out tonight, said Carina Skagerlind at the Stockholm police at the time.

- We do have this festival, but we managed to get people away from this place rather quickly.
