Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce
Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce is a light, delicious meal with tons of dill flavor. This is a simple meal that’s perfect for the warmer months.
Creamy Dill Sauce
The salmon is baked wrapped in foil with lemon slices, onion, and butter. It’s then topped with a cool and creamy dill sauce. I love salmon paired with a creamy sauce and this dill sauce is my favorite. It tastes like summer and I don’t think there’s any better herb to pair with salmon.
The sauce is made from a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream for ultimate creaminess. A little onion, horseradish, lemon juice, and a whole lot of dill give it just the right flavor.
How To Serve
You’ll love the fresh herb and citrus flavor in this Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce. Serve with a glass of white wine for a simple, but elegant meal that’s both light and refreshing. To keep the meal light, I like to serve it with either roasted or steamed broccolini, Marinated Cucumber, Tomato and Onion Salad, or steamed asparagus.
Recipe Tip
Be aure to use fresh dill for this recipe, not dried dill Dill is a wonderful herb to grow in a southern garden. Even beginner gardeners can grow dill. I have a pot of dill in my backyard and can easily clip a little whenever I need some. This is very desirable because often fresh dill sold at the grocery store is wilted and not very fresh.
How To Store
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 days. Store salmon and sauce in separate containers. Rewarm salmon in microwave and then top with sauce.
