Most of these places that look after old people in Sweden are maned by very low IQ non natives that dont even speak Swedish. Its an endless list of horror.

A nursing home in Varberg let a user go without food for nine days. Now the municipality itself has made a Lex Sarah report to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (IVO).

It was at Östergården's shelter in Varberg that the serious misbehavior took place. The affected person needs help with feeding to get nutrition - but for nine days, the home service "failed" to help the user with feeding.

The user previously had help with preparing the meals, but as of November 30 last year, the help was extended to also include feeding and help with oral hygiene. But those responsible must have "failed" to plan it in for the home care staff - who were thus not aware that they would be helping the user with this.

When the fatal miss was discovered by relatives of the user on December 8, the person was in such bad condition that he had to be taken to hospital due to dehydration.

"Breakdown in communication"
- There has been a breakdown in communication and planning in this case. We have now started an investigation where we try to ensure what has gone wrong and that we can take the right measures to ensure the quality of the operations, says Anna-Lena Sellergren, head of administration for the social administration in Varberg, to Hallands Nyheter .

However, she does not want to answer how it is that the staff did not notice that the user was in a bad condition during these nine days. But she mentions high staff turnover and many unfilled positions.

- I don't want to preempt the investigation and say what it is that has caused the staff not to have seen the signals in this user. But we must carry out this investigation quickly, she says further.
