Elderly residents buy sex toys

DOMESTIC. The Lindgården retirement home in Broby has a special "pleasure basket" with sex toys that the elderly are encouraged to have fun with.
- Having good sexual health is one of our basic needs, says the organization's Liselotte Nilsson Klang to SVT Nyheter Skåne.

SVT's report shows what is in the accommodation's "pleasure basket". These include loose vaginas, dildos, penis rings and penis pumps.

The staff at Lindgården offers residents help with ordering home sex toys. The rooms have also been given "do not disturb" signs and new procedures have been implemented for knocking. Sexuality is brought up in welcome talks when new residents move in and gender-segregated discussion groups have been started on topics such as "My first love".

- I think that society must change its way of thinking about this. We are not an age but individuals, says Liselotte Nilsson Klang to SVT.
