The Jesus Lizard formed in 1987 in Austin, Texas, and later based in Chicago, Illinois, is renowned for its abrasive, commanding sound that made significant waves in the noise rock and post-hardcore scenes. Originally starting as a collaboration between David Yow (vocals) and Duane Denison (guitar), the band solidified its lineup with the addition of David Wm.
