Muslims in Sweden are urged: Get involved politically and change the laws

A Muslim writer living in Sweden was recently highlighted in the Arabic news channel Al-Jazeera where he sent out an appeal to Muslims in the country. He stated that Muslims make up over ten percent of Sweden's population and must understand the importance of getting involved politically in order to Islamize the country.

It was on July 6, shortly after the Koran burning outside Stockholm's mosque, that Othman Othman participated in a program on Al-Jazeera where he shared Muslim plans for Sweden's future. This is reported by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) .

Othman Othman stated that the only way for Muslims to stop Koran burnings is to get involved politically and change the constitutional civil liberties and rights in Sweden.

He particularly singles out Swedish freedom of expression which is used to offend "Muslims, the Koran and the Prophet Muhammad".

Othman Othman sees it as entirely possible to bring about changes to the law because Muslims today make up over ten percent of the population in Sweden. Therefore, he reminds Muslims that they must become part of the political affairs of the country.
