He was born into a working-class family in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood in New York City. His mother was a women’s professional wrestling promoter, and his father was a hairdresser. An unfortunate complication during Stallone’s birth caused partial facial paralysis, giving him his signature snarled lip and slurred speech.  Despite facing early setbacks and a challenging childhood, the young Sylvester Stallone remains determined to follow his dream of becoming an actor. In the early 1970s, he held a few small roles in various films before achieving worldwide fame in 1976 through his smash hit Rocky, a film about a struggling boxer. Stallone wrote the script for this film himself after watching a boxing match between Muhammed Ali and Chuck Wepner. After the success of Rocky, Stallone’s career skyrocketed. Between 1978 and 1999, he starred in numerous films, including First Blood, where he portrayed Vietnam veteran John Rambo, yet another iconic character brought to life by Stallone. At his height in the 1980s, Stallone was one of the most famous action stars globally, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, with whom he famously had an intense rivalry.  Sylvester Stallone and Family: A Tight Knit Bond Sylvester Stallone’s family / Instagram Although a devoted family man, Sylvester Stallone’s family life has been complicated. Stallone married Sasha Czack in 1974 and had two sons with her, Sage Moonblood Stallone and Seargeoh Stallone. Sage followed in his father’s footsteps, establishing himself as an actor, producer, and director before tragically passing away at the age of 36 due to heart disease. Stallone and Czack divorced in 1985. In 1997, Stallone married model Jennifer Flavin, with whom he has three daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet. Sylvester Stallone’s daughters enjoy a close relationship with their father and have inherited his penchant for the spotlight, with all three starring in the family’s reality TV show, The Family Stallone. Sylvester Stallone’s daughters regularly open up on this TV show, discussing complicated topics such as Sophia’s childhood health challenges and the difficulties of dating a father as overbearing as Stallone. Stallone’s daughters often mention, however, that their father is always looking out for them, offering valuable life and dating advice. In 2022, Sylvester Stallone’s family faced a difficult moment when he and his wife, Flavin, announced their decision to divorce.
