Muscadine Bloodline Teases New Collaboration & Fans Are Convinced It’s Josh Meloy

2025 is off to a good start. Muscadine Bloodline is ready to dominate this year as they announced they plan to release not one but two albums this year. The duo is entering their 10th year of making music together, and after their incredible 2024, with the release of The Coastal Plain, touring with Post Malone, and more, they are ready to keep it rolling into 2025. "To us, creatively speaking, it feels like we finally pieced what took 7 years to figure out together, starting with the Teenage Dixie record a few years back. Since then, our goal has been to give y’all just that much more on the next record and have fun doing it every time. So when it came to the concept of The Coastal Plain, we couldn’t get all the stories and ideas conveyed on just… ONE RECORD.  That being said, we will be starting this year by turning to chapter 2 of The Coastal Plain. In the form of a whole different record. We don’t wanna spoil all the details.. but rather than a deluxe record, or giving you songs that “didn’t make the cut” on the first go around, consider it an evolution of The Coastal Plain and what was left behind of the place we spent 18 years of our lives. One record wasn’t intended to live without the other and honestly, we both like chapter 2 a little more. God willing, 2025 is gunna be our biggest year yet. Our biggest headlining tour to start the year, a new record soon, some big festivals this summer, the biggest tour we’ve been a part of in the fall, and another record at the end of the year. (TWO RECORDS IN ONE YEAR???…..YES)” https://www.instagram.com/p/DETLJ89y_4q/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=f7749cd6-a468-4042-bb27-11a1335afedf It's no surprise that fans were thrilled to read that year 10 means loads of new music from the Alabama duo. Given that there are also 12 months in a year, it did make fans wonder when new music would start rolling out. Good news for us listeners: Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton are wasting no time and have already announced a new single. Muscadine Bloodline will release their first single of 2025 next week, January 10th. It has also partnered with another artist to create new music. Yesterday evening, it teased a collaboration with an artist whose face is covered on social media, giving fans clues about who it might be. "Next Friday the 10th, Putting out a new song, And sometimes, the feature leaves the porchlight on." https://www.instagram.com/p/DEVxggFSDfd/ Immediately, fans read the caption, which is partnered with the silhouette of a cowboy hat, and strongly feel that they are referencing Oklahoma native Josh Meloy. One of Meloy's most popular songs is his 2022 single "Porch Light," so fans quickly put that together with the caption. Given the chorus says: "Yeah, it's another hotel room, sleepin' on the floor I'm hurtin' in the mornin' from the night before Paid my dues, I'm leadin' up the road I'm comin' home, baby, leave the porch light on..." Some fans in the comments must not be familiar with Meloy as they were throwing out guesses like Zach Top or Cody Johnson based on the cowboy hat. But many other fans were right about the money, noting how excited they were if this is an accurate guess. "Josh Meloy! Hell yeah!" "JOSH MELOY!!!! LFGGGG." "Josh Meloyyyyy, I'm gonna scream." "Could it be Mr. Meloy?" I sure hope it is Mr. Meloy because I've dreamed of that collaboration for quite some time now. Regardless of who the feature is, we can be confident it will be a certified heater. Let the countdown begin. While you're here, fire up one of my favorites from The Coastal Plain, "Pay Me No Mind." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM3X8pNyykk
