“Meet Flop!” the zoo wrote at the beginning of their video. “She lost her waddle!”
Obviously, zookeepers knew they needed to help this bird out. So, they began a series of treatments to help Flop the penguin get her waddle back! One of the creative ideas they came up with was a “baby bouncer.” This cloth harness held the creature upright so that she could practice using her legs without having to worry about falling down.
“Keepers came up with a range of methods to try and strengthen her limbs, including a homemade ‘baby bouncer,'” the zoo explained. “Slowly but surely keepers helped Flop learn to walk again and even carried out regular physiotherapy sessions with Flop.”

“And she found her waddle again!” the post concluded.
A couple of commenters pointed out that Flop’s recovery story would make a wonderful book for kids.
“The penguin who lost her waddle sounds like a children’s book,” wrote one user.
Another chimed in, “This would be a great children’s story!”
We’d certainly love to see this animal’s inspiring tale in print!
