Ouch. Over the weekend, Riley Green had an incident that led him to the emergency room, after stepping on a nail while out hunting that managed to puncture through his boot and get into his foot. He shared the saga in his Instagram stories, and based on the videos from earlier in the day yesterday that are still up, it seems like he was definitely not hunting in his native Alabama, but somewhere much colder because the snow was coming down in buckets. We know he purchased some hunting property in Kansas, and recently harvested his first buck there, but a good chunk of the country was getting snow this past weekend... he could've been anywhere. From the hospital room, Riley explained what happened and seemed to be in pretty good spirits, laughing at the fact that a bunch of corn fell out of his boot when he took his shoe off to show the doctor his injury: "At the emergency room, 'cuz I stepped on a nail, impaled my foot, and when I took my boot off, corn fell all over the floor. The lady came in here wanting to know where all the corn came from. It's from my boot, you don't want me to take this other one off, either. Real world problems." I imagine this little setback slowed him down just a bit, and it sounds like a nail going all the way through your boot and into your foot would be quite painful, though he doesn't seem too worried or in too much pain in the video a fan page shared from his stories: @riley.green.duckm86 I had an emergency, I step on nails. #reelproblems #rileygreen #viral ♬ original sound - Riley Green Duckman In another video, Riley's friend asks the nurse how soon he can get back to hunting, and she tells him he's good to get back out there as soon as he leaves the ER, and I have no doubt that's exactly what he did (after he got a new pair of shoes on, of course). All is well that ends well, I guess, and it looks like Riley is certainly enjoying his downtime before he heads out on his extensive headlining Damn Country Music tour that kicks off in March.
