Dave Coulier Gives Update As He Battles Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

It’s been two months since Full House alum Dave Coulier shared his cancer diagnosis. The typically funny man made the serious announcement on the Today Show on November 13. Dave explained a lingering upper respiratory infection led to a stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis. At the time, Dave said he wanted to talk about his cancer diagnosis to encourage others to listen to their bodies. He also hoped people would get regular cancer screenings via things like colonoscopies and mammograms. He recently opened up about his treatment on the Full House Rewind podcast. Dave admitted, “It’s been a little bit of an adjustment.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dave Coulier (@dcoulier) Dave Coulier Is Getting Used To Life Without Hair Amid Lymphoma Treatment He told co-host Marla Sokoloff that being bald came with some unexpected changes. “I realize how much that hair keeps you warm,” he said. “Gets a little cold here in Michigan where I’m at.” Dave joked that once his hair grows back, he’s unsure what to do with it, but he may grow it to make up for lost time. He explained that the chemotherapy has been tough. “So it’s this constant cocktail where your body is in fight or flight mode, and you’re just trying to adjust to, like, ‘Okay, how am I adjusting to steroids? How am I adjusting to the chemo cocktail? And then, how am I adjusting to all these other things?'” Dave Coulier told Marla that he may not feel great during treatment, but it is all worth it in the end. “If I have to feel a little out of sorts for a few months, then, then so be it,” he admitted. “But just being able to alert people that it’s okay to get a colonoscopy or early screenings or a mammogram, it’s really worth it.”  This story’s featured image is by CarlaVanWagoner via Shutterstock.
