Parker McCollum To Perform At President Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ball

Hell yeah, Parker. The lineup for Donald Trump's inaugural ceremonies just got a lot stronger - and added some Texas flair in the process. Earlier this week, we got our first look at the lineup for next week's inauguration as President Donald Trump is sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Along with Lee Greenwood performing his hit song "God Bless the USA," Carrie Underwood will be performing "America the Beautiful" during the inauguration on Monday, immediately before Trump takes the oath of office. And of course, some people weren't happy about it because it's 2025 and people can't accept that other people can have different political beliefs than they do. Elsewhere on the lineup, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus and the Village People will be performing at Trump's "Make America Great Again" victory rally the night before the inauguration, which is a lineup that I can say I never thought I would see performing together but hey, politics is weird. And after the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, the 47th president will be attending three separate inaugural balls, which will each have their own lineup of entertainment. Jason Aldean and the Village People will both be performing at the Liberty Ball, along with a "surprise musical guest" who has yet to be announced. And the Starlight Ball will feature Gavin DeGraw, who's not only a singer and songwriter but also has his own bar in downtown Nashville (but then again, who doesn't these days). And at the Commander-in-Chief Ball, Rascal Flatts will be performing together for the first time since their breakup back in 2020 after their farewell tour was postponed by COVID. But the newest name on the lineup will probably provide the best entertainment of the evening: It was just announced that along with Rascal Flatts, Parker McCollum will be headlining the Commander-in-Chief Ball. https://twitter.com/bradj_tx/status/1879601780725870781 Pretty cool stuff for the Limestone Kid. Parker hasn't said anything yet about his appearance during the inaugural ceremonies. But you have to think that, like Carrie Underwood, he's honored to be ask to take part in such a big celebration for our country. And sure, there are probably going to be people who are upset that he's performing too. But honestly, regardless of politics, can you blame him? You have a chance to perform for the President of the United States, who wouldn't take it? You can also be sure that Parker will actually be performing live during the ceremony, after the Texas native cleared things up following accusations from Oliver Anthony that he uses autotune and backing tracks during his shows: "Never ever, ever, ever one time have I ever used autotune or a drum loop or anything fake of any kind on stage. Me and my guys are ripping it the real deal every single night. There has never been any single part of our show, not one note, that was not live, raw, and in the moment. 100% fabricated story. That is 100% a lie. That will never change. We will always be out there swinging it as a real band, trying to do our best to respect country music. So, that’s all I’ve got to say on it, and that’s where it needs to end." And on Monday night, he'll be ripping it for President Trump. Pretty badass.
