Tommy Lee has condemned the insensitivity of some musicians to the Los Angeles fires. The fire, which started January 7 has continued for over a week, displacing several residents and businesses, and has consumed the properties in the area. Many people worldwide have shown support to those affected by the wildfires. According to recent updates, 25 people have been confirmed dead, over 80,000 people have evacuated their homes, while another 84,000 residents would likely evacuate due to the fires. Although firefighters have been able to contain the fire in some parts of Los Angeles, much work still needs to be done. His band, Motley Crue expressed their sympathy on January 9 for those displaced by the wildfires. “To everyone affected by the devastating and unprecedented fires in our hometown of Los Angeles, our thoughts are with you during this very difficult time. May you and your loved ones stay safe as we stand together to overcome.” Motley Crue wrote on Facebook. Then on Monday, January 13, Tommy Lee himself condemned artists who were promoting their music amidst the fire updates. In his opinion, the victims would never be “concerned” about a new song or concert in the state they were in but were rather in need of all the support they could receive.
