L.A. Guns Album In April
L.A. Guns’ album, “Leopard Skin,” will arrive on April 4th. It will be the band’s first effort since their return to Cleopatra Records, the L.A. based indie label.
The band’s 10th album, “Hollywood Forever,” released in ’12, was issued on Cleopatra.
L.A. Guns’ previous studio album, “Black Diamonds,” arrived in April ’23. It was the fourth studio album since the reunion of the band’s core members – vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns (pictured above).
L.A. Guns released their self-titled debut in ’88. However, both Guns and Lewis separately left the band but returned. Guns ditched L.A. Guns in ’02 but rejoined in ’16 while Lewis bailed in ’95 but came back in ’99.
Then there was the two L.A. Guns mess. In ’06, Lewis and Guns had their own versions of the band. Long time L.A. Guns drummer Steve Riley was, at this point, a member of Lewis’s lineup until it folded in ’16 when it merged with Guns’s edition. Subsequently, Riley created his own L.A. Guns in ’19. Legal action ensued.
Under the terms of the ’21 settlement agreement, Guns and Lewis would continue to operate under the L.A. Guns trademark, while Riley and his bandmates were allowed to perform and record as Riley’s L.A. Guns (Riley passed away in ’23).
In support of their fifteenth album, L.A. Guns plan to tour extensively this year.
