Jokes Fly As Bill Clinton Couldn’t Help But Eyeball Carrie Underwood As She Performed During Donald Trump’s Inauguration
We know there was at least one Democrat who was happy that Carrie Underwood performed at the inauguration.
Of course there was plenty of outrage from the left when it was announced that Carrie would be performing at President Donald Trump's inauguration. The American Idol alum who now serves as a judge on the singing competition has generally been pretty quiet on politics, though there have been signs in the past that she leans to the right (and her husband, former NHL star Mike Fisher, has been more outspokenly conservative).
Carrie didn't endorse anyone in the 2024 presidential election or reveal who she voted for, and the only statement she's given on the performance simply expressed the honor of performing for her country:
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
But apparently just performing at the inauguration is an unforgivable sin, because there were plenty of people vowing to boycott her music:

But there was at least one Democrat who appeared to be enjoying the performance from Carrie during today's inauguration: Former President Bill Clinton.
Of course we all know that Clinton is a horndog anyway, and he's been caught with wandering eyes in the past (and I'm not just talking about Monica Lewinsky). But as Carrie stepped out onto the stage directly in front of him during the inauguration, many couldn't help but notice that Clinton couldn't help but sneak a glance at her backside:

You dawg, you...
Of course, Carrie crushed her performance, despite what appeared to be some technical difficulties at the beginning of it.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who are going to be upset about Carrie's performance, because that's just the way that politics works these days. But it seems there are more and more celebrities who are starting to feel comfortable supporting Trump publicly these days.
Parker McCollum, Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean will all be performing during the president's inaugural balls these evening, along with Lee Greenwood and Kid Rock who performed at a victory rally held last night.
But John Rich says there are even more country music artists who support the president behind the scenes - and he wants them to come out and publicly support Trump:
“There are several top tier country artists who support Trump, and I wish they’d finally have the balls to come forward and be counted. Ain’t nothing outlaw about keeping your mouth shut to appease the record label. Carrie Underwood is making you look like a bunch of sissy boys.”

He also praised Carrie Underwood for her willingness to perform, as well as her statement clarifying why she chose to do so, but then questioned once again why so many country music superstars sit on the sidelines. He even went as far as to praise Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks for at least having the guts to stand for something... albeit something he disagrees with.
"I don't agree with those guys but at least they had enough conviction to step forward and make those moves. Brad was all about the vaccines with Jill, Garth was all about Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, so where are the big time A-listers who are conservative in country music, where are they?"
Probably worried that they're going to be eyeballed by Bill Clinton, to be honest.
