System Of A Down’s “Toxicity” music video has officially passed a billion views on YouTube. It was the title track from System Of A Down’s sophomore album. “Toxcity” was written by band members Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian and Serj Tankian with Malakian, Tankian and Rick Rubin producing. “Toxcity” (the album) peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 selling 220,000 copies in its first week of release. It has been certified sextuple platinum (6-million copies) in the United States and at least 12,000,000 copies worldwide. The clip, uploaded to YouTube in October ’09, is the band’s second song to reach the milestone, after “Chop Suey!“ hit one billion views in November ’20. ###.
