Dolly Parton To Be Featured On Duet Version Of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” For ‘Short N’ Sweet’ Deluxe Edition
Okay, hear me out... this is gonna go so hard.
Today, pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter, who put out one of the biggest albums in mainstream music last year with Short n’ Sweet, announced a deluxe addition of the album that will feature the one and only Dolly Parton.
The pair will team up for a remixed version of her hit "Please Please Please," which was written by Sabrina along with producer Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen (who wrote on Koe Wetzel's most recent album, 9 Lives). Odds are you've probably heard it somewhere, because the song became her first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and also topped the charts in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
Sabrina rightfully won Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, and she shared earlier this afternoon that the deluxe addition is a "thank you" to fans for helping her make the record so successful.
She also added how excited she was to work with Mrs. Dolly, and Sabrina actually covered "9 to 5" on her tour last year so I think she's a big fan, and obviously, working with Dolly is a dream come true for any artist in pretty much every genre:
"As a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’) 'Short n’ Sweet' deluxe is now available for pre order.. and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy sh*t!!!!!"
She's so valid, and I can't wait to hear it. I generally dislike modern pop music, but Sabrina is one of my favorites and I loved Short n' Sweet, so it will really cool to hear Dolly's take on "Please Please Please" when the deluxe addition is released on February 14th:

In addition to "Please Please Please (feat. Dolly Parton)," there will be four other new songs, including "15 Minutes," "Couldn't Make It Any Harder," "Busy Woman" and "Bad Reviews."
Dolly is of course showing no signs of slowing down after just turning 79 years young in January, as she also has a Broadway Musical in the works that set to debut in Nashville later this year, before heading to New York City in 2026.
She recently spoke in-depth bout what fans can expect from the glitzy show (which you can read about here), but my favorite part of the interview, came when Dolly and director Bartlett Sher were asked about their favorite songs in the musical, and Bart shared there was one called “God, Sex and Music” that he loves, which Dolly responded to by saying:
“Oh, yeah. That kinda sums me right up.”
If that doesn’t make you want to see the musical, I don’t know what will… and if you're unfamiliar with "Please Please Please," it's time to change that, and you can listen below.
