Tom Segura Parodies Garth Brooks In Hilarious Trailer For New Netflix Series ‘Bad Thoughts’

I like that. At this point you’ve gotta think Garth Brooks has nightmares about Tom Segura. The comedian has been one of the country star’s most relentless trolls, ever since Segura and his wife, fellow comedian Christina Pazsitzky, hosts of the Your Mom’s House podcast, stumbled upon the bizarre announcement video for Garth’s Stadium Tour back in 2018. If you don’t remember the video, here’s a refresher…   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Garth Brooks (@garthbrooks) Thanks to that video, Tom and Christina P began joking that Garth must be a serial killer with somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-300 bodies buried in his yard. And the rest was history. It’s since become a long-running joke, with any mention of Garth drawing responses of “where are the bodies?” and the singer being forced to turn off comments on all of his social media accounts. Garth is even reportedly aware of the joke, though he’s never addressed it publicly, and apparently he’s not a fan of it. So you’ve gotta think he’s not going to be watching Segura’s new Netflix series, especially after he sees the trailer… The new series called Bad Thoughts debuts May 13, and according to the description the comedy series “centers on Segura, who also serves as the show’s narrator, as he takes us through each episode in a series of vignettes. The twisted comedic sensibility of Tom’s stand-up is the core DNA of this series, where every story will unfold in a hilariously disturbing way only he could imagine.” Well you know that with Segura behind the wheel he was going to have to get a Garth joke in there…and sure enough, fans quickly picked up on the parody of the country music superstar during the show’s first trailer: They're coming, whether you like it or not. Bad Thoughts launches May 13, only on Netflix. pic.twitter.com/XjxS77RwDF — Tom Segura AKA Mr. Ladybug (@tomsegura) March 30, 2025 Segura, playing a sheriff, bears a striking resemblance to Garth in his cowboy hat, and even broke out his signature line from the creepy tour announcement video: “I like that.” It’s not exactly a subtle reference for anybody who’s in on the joke, and it seems that a lot of people in the comments quickly picked up on the shot at Garth: “We may finally find out where the bodies are” “Where are the bodies sheriff!” “Cool stuff, slick stuff, neat stuff” “Sheriff Garth” “T as G is giving me a hard D” While the fans seemed to appreciate it, chances are Garth isn’t going to be a fan. According to Tom, Garth has blocked him on Instagram, and he’s been told that the singer doesn’t understand the bit: “First I got word about a year ago from a 100% reliable source… I was like, ‘Does he know?’ And they’re like ‘Oh yeah, yeah. He knows.’ And I was like, ‘Is he upset?’ And they’re like, ‘He just doesn’t get it. Doesn’t know why you’re talking about him.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ And then recently… he just blocked me on Instagram. And I was like, oh, he finally blocked me.” But that’s not all: Segura has also been told that any time somebody brings it up, Garth will pull out the famous video of Segura taking a nasty fall playing basketball and tell them it’s “karma” for everything Tom has said about him: “And another person told me, this person said to me that they heard from a reliable source that when my name comes up to him, that he on his phone shows the video of me playing basketball and falling, and he goes, ‘Karma.’ I was like, that’s fuckin’, pretty amazing. That a serial killer is finding it in their heart to say ‘Karma’ to the other person. This man has, I mean, people are saying this man is responsible for hundreds of missing people and he’s gonna say that it’s karma?” Might wanna just skip this one when it comes out, G.The post Tom Segura Parodies Garth Brooks In Hilarious Trailer For New Netflix Series ‘Bad Thoughts’ first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
