Firerose is speaking out about her ex-husband’s new relationship. Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose had a short-lived whirlwind romance, as the couple divorced after just seven months of marriage. After finalizing their divorce in August of 2024, it appears that Billy Ray has moved on, hard launching his relationship with the Gossip Girl and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery actress Elizabeth Hurley. Over Easter weekend, Hurley posted a photo of the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer planting a kiss on her cheek, signifying there is a romantic relationship between the two. He has had a really hard time, but she has been there helping him turn things around.” Now that this source has spoken up, a rep close to Firerose shared with PEOPLE Magazine how she feels about this budding relationship, and it appears that she does not care about what Cyrus is up to. “Firerose is currently focused on her music, which continues to inspire new souls globally every day. She’s rising in her next chapter of artistic evolution, which reflects the profound strength, healing and transformation she’s been forged through. She’s living her purpose by uplifting others out of the darkness with God’s love at the forefront.” Seems pretty unbothered, eh? Firerose spoke up personally after Cyrus’ horrid Liberty Ball performance, making it seem like some of the odd behavior we saw on stage was a common theme in their relationship, and he has some deep issues that he needs to work on. “What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship. It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.” However, Firerose is not the first ex-wife of Cyrus to speak up about the new relationship with Hurley. Tish Cyrus had suspicions about the two when they were filming Christmas in Paradise. Tish and Billy Ray filed for divorce in 2022, and while we are not making any assumptions or judgments, it sounds like Tish always knew there was something deeper going on between the two. A source close to Tish told The Daily Mail: “They got very close on the set and seeing that they are together now is a slap in the face for Tish, but it also confirms that she was likely right about her suspicions. They never stopped being in contact.” Given Bill Ray’s recent struggles in the public eye and given his recent divorce, many think that Hurley might be some rebound or a band-aid over his bigger issues. However, others close to the family believe Hurley could be good for Billy Ray and maybe help him stay on the “straight and narrow”: “Despite what people think about this, she is good for him. If she can keep Billy Ray on the straight and narrow, more power to her. The fact that she has such a history with him and met him at a time in his life when he was doing well is a good thing. He can be himself around her.” A source close to Hurley also shared that she did not want to go public with their relationship until she knew there was something real between the two of them. “Liz has been keeping the whole thing under wraps and has barely told anyone.
