“I Thought My Biological Father Never Wanted Me. I Found Him 3 Weeks Ago…”

Before you begin reading, please have tissues nearby. You’ll need at least three. Cami is a stay-at-home mom who owns and operates Mae Day Crochet. Cami taught herself how to crochet to stay busy and find a creative outlet. She transitioned her hobby into a small business. While building her business, Cami also found her biological dad after a two-year search. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Cami • Mae Day Crochet (@mae.day.crochet) Working from home in the foothills of Northern California, Cami streamlined her business to focus on making crochet amigurumi, a Japanese-inspired style of crochet. She breaks it down as, “I make crochet plushies.” She sells online but plans to branch out into local markets for in-person sales. The almost 28-year-old has been searching for her biological dad for many years, and she finally found him. As is the case in many adoptive homes, Cami never knew the entire truth about her bio dad. She had no clue as she began looking if he even wanted to be found. She got a fantastic surprise, and he sent a plane ticket. @mae.day.crochet I still can’t believe I found him after all this time #biodadsearch #adopteesoftiktok #adoptionstory #findingmydad #hoziersyellmoment #adoption #biologicalfather #biodadsearch #wholesome #feelgoodvibes #familyreunion #reunited #adopted #postivitiy ♬ original sound – Noah Kahan Cami’s search took over two years, but she persevered. When she found her biological dad, he was on the other side of the country, 3,000 miles away. She sent a Facebook message, unsure of what to expect and bracing for the worst. Six days later, she was on an airplane crossing the continent. Cami was all smiles as she walked off the plane into the airport. He met her, and they hugged and cried, then hugged and cried again. He brought her a bouquet of roses, and an instant connection was formed. Cami’s dad sends his granddaughter weekly gifts filled with love, and they use FaceTime to stay connected, in addition to texts and calls. Please share.
