Living in Storage Units - Get Prepared it's Not for Fun - it's Real Life in America Homeless !

As of Jan 2025, approximately 771,480 Americans were experiencing homelessness on a single night, marking an 18% increase from the previous year. This surge is the highest recorded since the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) began its annual Point-in-Time (PIT) counts. The increase was driven by factors such as a shortage of affordable housing, high housing costs, natural disasters, and an influx of migrant families. Certain groups are disproportionately affected by homelessness: Families with Children: Experienced a 39% increase, with nearly 150,000 children affected. Older Adults: One in five homeless individuals were aged 55 or older, with over 104,000 people between 55 and 64, and an additional 42,150 aged 65 or older. Black Americans: Represented 32% of the homeless population, highlighting ongoing racial disparities. Living in Storage Units - Get Prepared it's Not for Fun it's Real Life in America ! #2025
