EU Agrees to Fast-Track Trade Talks With U.S.

The European Union agreed to fast-track talks with the U.S. to de-escalate their trade spat, the European Commission said Monday after a phone call over the weekend between President Trump and the commission’s president, Ursula von der Leyen. “They agreed both to fast-track the negotiations and stay in close contact,” Paula Pinho, a commission spokeswoman, told reporters Monday.
