FOREIGN. On telephones belonging to arrested illegal immigrants who had invaded from Belarus, Polish authorities identified not only execution and terror videos but also pedophile abuses and tidal laws, writes Polish TVP. Several of the immigrants may have been on their way to Sweden to be granted asylum by the Swedish Migration Board.
Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak admitted during a press conference that "even if political correctness prescribes that we do not talk about this, we put our country's security above all else", writes TVP.
- This is not about stigmatizing someone, but about presenting facts that show what it is for some who cross our border. We must share these results with the public and talk about the provocative behavior of Belarusian authorities, Kamiński added.
In practice, it is not only Belarus that is the transit country but also Poland, as most asylum seekers move on to countries such as Sweden, where those who come from Afghanistan are expected to receive asylum almost automatically.
Stanisław Żaryn, spokesman for Poland's national security and intelligence coordinator, said that during interrogation, the immigrants had tried to hide their identity or information that was inconvenient to them, and tried to delete the contents of their phones.
"Security personnel who examined the identity and credibility of people staying in guarded shelters found evidence of pedophile activity and tidal law," he said.
- The pictures show photographs from immigrant phones that may indicate that they are suffering from serious sexual disorders.
One of the pictures showed one how the Afghan Sabrullah had intercourse with a cow. Sabrullah had entered Polish territory illegally via the Balkan route and then Belarus.
Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak believes that the material shows the challenges that Poland and its soldiers face when it comes to dealing with asylum seekers at the border.
