Trump Derangement Syndrome is a terrible thing. Those afflicted often cause harm to themselves or others—in this case, potentially putting their unborn babies at risk—to prove to the world that they defy the president and everything he stands for.

In the latest disturbing symptom of the often debilitating mental impairment, pregnant women suffering from TDS are filming themselves downing Tylenol, the brand name for the generic drug acetaminophen, which the administration said Tuesday may be dangerous to the fetus and may be a factor behind the stunning rise we’ve seen in autism.

Some pretty weird stuff going on out there:

It’s pretty tragic, actually.

There’s just one problem with their potentially dangerous antics. They think they're sticking their fingers in the eyes of Donald Trump and HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., but they're also flouting the manufacturer’s own recommendation:

Tylenol’s tweet with that recommendation is still up on X as of this writing. The ghoulishness of it all reminds me of a story I did back in 2022 about women who not only didn’t regret their abortions—they celebrated them online with disgusting T-shirts, cakes and parties.

Obviously, the two issues are different, but the twisted displays of “resistance” when babies’ lives are at stake are disgusting, to say the least.  

Fox contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier summed up the insanity in a post on X: "Pregnant women popping Tylenol like Tic Tacs just to stick it to Trump—please stop. Don’t weaponize your pregnancy for a political point. Consider acetaminophen only when absolutely necessary, for the shortest duration and lowest dose, even the makers of Tylenol say this."

Is a little rationality and normalcy too much to ask for? Unfortunately, for those suffering from the appalling consequences of TDS, the answer would appear to be “yes.”
