I hate to confess that watching videos of Hamas openly murdering armed rivals in Gaza, and their leadership claiming they will never “disarm” made me worry that they were going to fail to send the hostages home. But they did send them, and the celebrations brought tears to my eyes. The world celebrated (except for Democrats, of course) and many fools tried to take credit for brokering the Gaza Peace Deal. (Looking at you, Elizabeth Warren, Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, et al.)

There are difficult days ahead. Hamas is not yet disarmed, and they likely will not do it voluntarily. But if we know anything about President Trump, we know that he sees a vision of the future apart from what we see as reality. He is not afraid to pursue peace. At the Egypt Peace Summit, the 20 nations represented praised the President for his strength and ability to broker the deal.

But here is the rub: Hamas is evil to the core. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, they murdered several Gazans just prior to the release of the hostages. They’ve never cared about their own people, they only care about their power. Their ideology is demonic and barbaric, and they hate anyone they feel is against their Islamic stance.

The Gaza Peace Deal is only the beginning of hope for the Middle East. There will be extremely difficult days ahead as the vision of a brighter future leaves terrorists in the dust bin of history.
