What To Know

  • Pat Sajak, after ending his long run as Wheel of Fortune host in 2024, announced via social media that he plans to take on “another project or two” before fully retiring.
  • Despite his career transition, Sajak maintains his trademark humor online, joking about trademarking show phrases and participating in lighthearted skits with his daughter.
  • The specifics of Sajak’s upcoming projects remain undisclosed following his departure from Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in June 2025.

Pat Sajak ended his four-decade-plus tenure hosting Wheel of Fortune in 2024, but according to a recent X.com post celebrating his 79th birthday, he’s not quite retired yet, and has more projects waiting in the wings.

In an October 27 post, Sajak — who normally posts jokes on the platform — got a bit more serious, writing, “Thank you for all the lovely and touching birthday greetings yesterday. Happily, I’m feeling great and looking forward to another project or two before retirement. Stay tuned.”

However, fans needn’t worry that Sajak has made a turn for the serious — in an October 26 post by his daughter, Maggie Sajak, the pair acted out a skit making light of his recent birthday and retirement.

In another recent joking social media post, Sajak claimed that he had trademarked the phrase “Yes, there are 2 Rs.”

No word yet on what Sajak’s final projects may be — he left his last gig, hosting Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, in June 2025.
