Yesterday, I wrote about that appalling video in which a series of Democratic Party Members of Congress encouraged soldiers and intelligence officials to defy the president.

It is a perfect example of the principle that when Democrats say they are "preserving democracy," what they actualy mean is "preserving rule by Democrats."

Obviously, the video was intended to get attention, and it did. Martha MacCallum of Fox News interviewed one of the Congressmen in the video and challenged him on precisely what orders the Democrats meant for our members of the military to ignore. 

If illegal orders are a problem to be dealt with, could he provide an example?

MARTHA: "You are talking about ILLUSIONS and not actual policy—Are they talking about not allowing boats carrying drugs to make it to the United States?"

CROW: "Here is a novel idea. How about we actually prevent things from happening before they become a problem?"

MARTHA: "That is what they are trying to do."

CROW: "What you are saying is we have to wait until there's a problem to respond?"

MARTHA: "What specific order from the commander-in-chief that we are asking our military to carry out are you objecting to? This is very vague! No one can figure out what you were talking about, honestly."

CROW: "Martha, Donald Trump has made a series of alarming comments and suggestions that would violate U.S. Law and put our military in a terrible position."

MARTHA: "You are getting nowhere."

Of course not. Because such orders don't exist. The video really has two big objectives: the first, to shock Americans into believing that these fine upstanding veterans and Members of Congress are so concerned about Trump's illegal orders that they regretfully had to make this video, and the second, to give permission to leftists in the military to disobey orders they dislike and create a crisis of discipline in the military. 

Both are political goals and have nothing to do with preserving our norms or democracy. Quite the opposite, in fact. It is a color revolution tactic intended to disrupt or bring down the Trump administration. Classic CIA/USAID tactics. In fact, one of the video's authors was a CIA officer whose job was to implement these tactics in other countries, and she explicitly called on her fellow agents to do so here. 

The Democrats have, since Trump was first elected, adopted tactics that were designed to disrupt foreign governments against the Trump administration, and have even distributed manuals in bureaucracies about how to throw sand in the gears of the bureaucracy to prevent the administration from implementing its agenda.

What the Democrats in that video are hoping for is several cases of soldiers refusing to follow orders that are controversial, not illegal. That will elevate the controversy, imply that even the military is appalled at Trump and ready to defy him, and create more headaches and chaos for the Trump administration. 

The point is the create a sense of crisis, and a sense of crisis always becomes a crisis. This is how the Obama administration created the uprisings in the Arab Spring and in Eastern Europe. In fact, one of the primary reasons why the Democrats were so panicked about the collapse of USAID is that it was the primary agent for implementing color revolutions and controlling information flow in the world. 

These days, you have to assume that when a Democrat talks about "law," he really means "our will." Words never mean what you think they do with anybody steeped in Critical Theory. A perfect example was Jasmine Crockett's sly "Jeffrey Epstein donations" speech on the House floor.

Republicans think that she embarrassed herself with that sleight of hand, but actually, she accomplished what she wanted to. She threw out an accusation that spread around the world, and relatively few people know that she was misleading them. No media outlet will blackball her for being a liar, and lefties will have their talking point. 

Being caught in a lie? These days, that doesn't matter at all. Known perjurers are regular media commentators as "experts." John Brennan shows up all the time, as do James Clapper and Jim Comey. It's almost a badge of honor. 

Their goal is to capture power, not "save democracy." Encouraging soldiers to defy civilian authority is the opposite of saving democracy.
