What To Know
- Kate Jackson publicly denied claims by Steel City Con organizers that she canceled her scheduled appearance at their December 2025 event, stating she was not informed of any cancellation.
- Jackson expressed frustration and confusion over the announcement, emphasizing she had no communication with the organizers and did not intend to cancel.
- After years away from the spotlight due to health issues, Jackson has recently returned to the convention circuit, including a reunion with her Scarecrow and Mrs. King castmates in June 2025.
Pittsburgh-area fans of Charlie’s Angels and Scarecrow and Mrs. King star Kate Jackson got some disappointing news on November 24, when the organizers of the area’s Steel City Con announced that “Kate Jackson has canceled and will be rescheduled to April,” instead of her planned convention appearance from December 5-7, 2025. However, that disappointment turned to confusion a day later, when Jackson declared — in a Facebook post made via the CharliesAngels.com fan page — that she had actually not canceled her appearance, and that she was unable to contact anyone from Steel City Con to find out what happened.
What did Kate Jackson say about the announcement that she had canceled her appearance?
Jackson shot back at the convention, writing “TO EVERYONE I EXPECTED TO SEE IN PITTSBURG…I DID NOT CANCEL MY SCHEDULED APPEARANCE IN PITTSBURG DEC. 5th – 7th!! I have not been informed by the show that I supposedly ‘Canceled’. I didn’t. I didn’t learn about the announcement to that effect until just a few minutes ago (8:30pm PST). Once again, I DID NOT CANCEL MY APPEARANCE IN PITTSBURG! I WOULDN’T DO THAT!! I have no idea what’s going on! Hopefully, someone will tell me. In the meantime…
I’m upset that you were told that I had ‘Canceled’. It is simply not true. I did no such thing, in fact, I have had no communication with Mr. Stein and I do not know why he made the untrue announcement that I had ‘Canceled’ without even telling me that I had. ![]()
Love to all, Kate”
Jackson achieved TV fame across two decades, first as Sabrina Duncan on the original Charlie’s Angels, and then as Amanda King on ’80s mystery series Scarecrow and Mrs. King, opposite Bruce Boxleitner. A battle with cancer and other health issues led her to take a step back from the spotlight and minimize her public appearances for a number of years, but she has recently become a presence on the convention circuit, and reunited with her Scarecrow and Mrs. King castmates in June 2025 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Show.
