A mass shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday left 2 students dead and 9 injured. The shooting took place at the engineering building on campus, and officials stated because finals were occurring, the building was unlocked. Of the 9 injured, one was injured by shrapnel and has been released from the hospital, 7 are stable condition, and one is critical but stable. A person of interest is in custody.

Authorities initiated a man hunt for the suspect, who was described as a male, wearing all black. A shelter in place order was in effect for the entire campus from Saturday until early Sunday morning.

It took several hours before authorities released a video of the suspect as he left the engineering building.

Mayor Smiley confirmed doors were likely left unlocked for exams when the shooter entered the engineering building.

The “person of interest” is in custody. He was located in Coventry, Rhode Island about 17 miles from Providence.

Is that information being suppressed? Or is it a situation of hearing one situation and transferring it to another in light of the world news?

The mass shooting at Brown University is a concerning issue for not only Jews, but for all who live among the hundreds of thousands of unknown persons who may have evil intent.
